Dear Friends and Supporters,

Many of you have already heard the news: the building that houses Psanctum Thrift is for sale. A few months ago, our landlord let us know that the space we’ve poured our sweat, tears, and magic into would be going on the market. Unless we could come up with the $1,650,000 needed to purchase it, we’d need to find a new home when our lease ends in October.

Needless to say, while our sales have been growing, we're not in a position to take on a mortgage of that size. And once we were faced with that reality, we found ourselves at a crossroads. Rather than scramble to relocate under pressure, we decided to pause and reflect more deeply: Where do we truly want to go from here? What kind of work feels most aligned with our values, energy, and purpose?

Running this shop has been a dream and a deep privilege. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together. Since opening in September 2023, Psanctum Thrift has:

•Saved thousands of pounds of usable goods from the landfill

•Provided meaningful employment to local residents

•Hosted hundreds of community events, fundraisers, support groups, and art shows

•Offered a hub for education, harm reduction, and psychedelic literacy

•Awarded thousands of dollars in psychedelic therapy grants

•Created a space of warmth, connection, and belonging

This has been community-powered from the beginning, and I’m so grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, showed up, and believed in the mission.

For our core team, Psanctum Thrift has been an all-consuming labor of love—one that has deeply inspired us, but also left little room for rest, self-care, or the other work we feel called to pursue.

Rather than take on the stress and upheaval of starting from scratch in a new location, we’re choosing to honor what we’ve built and allow it to come to a close with intention, clarity, and care.

Psanctum Thrift will officially close its doors on July 27th.

The Psanctum Open Mic—which just celebrated its 7-year anniversary, will continue at our shop venue.

Psychedelics in Recovery & The Sound & Shadow Sound Bath will continue to meet at Psanctum Thrift until we close, or until otherwise noted.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing special closing sales. We hope to see you, celebrate with you, and thank you in person.

With love and gratitude,

Eden Woodruff

Co-founder, Psanctum Thrift
