About the event

In  collaboration with Psanctum's Community Resiliency Series and Strong Towns PDX, we are hosting a book club featuring the national bestseller, Escaping the Housing Trap: The Strong Towns Response to the Housing Crisis.

In this book, renowned urbanists Charles Marohn and Daniel Herriges introduce a first-of-its-kind discussion of the tension between housing as a financial produce and housing as shelter. This is the key insight that’s been missing from the Housing Crisis Conversation; and the insight that can help cities fight back against the crisis from the bottom-up.

We'll start by reading the introduction! The book club will meet bi-weekly afterwards. Reading the book is highly recommended, but optional. Open to all interested in housing issues!

Location: Psanctum Thrift 4033 SE Milwaukie Ave. Portland, OR. 97202

Time: 4:30pm-6:00pm This event is free.
